Hello! I am Shobhan Kulshreshtha, an XII-Grader(as per May, 2013) studying in Bal Bharati Public School, Pitampura. I am a science enthusiast and I also like swimming, writing poems, climbing trees, reading, and helping others. I like to learn new things too. I play water polo for my school team and have been awarded best swimmer of the Vivekand-House of my school three times. I have been in my swimming school team for the past 7 years and I have participated in four nationals. Besides swimming, I am quite good in studies too. I am good in studies just because I love science. I was awarded JSTSE scholarship in class X.
I am a science student and I’m aspiring to graduate in aerospace engineering (and physics, if I get a chance for dual degree…which I will grab ‘coz I’m desperate). This aspiration comes from my love to construct (and destruct) things. I keep on thinking about new innovative machines and techniques which, for instance, might be useful for saving the environment, or making human lives easier. Trying to find a place/lab where I can build upon my ideas…but this is India. And if you don’t have contacts, it grows crazy. Apart from this, I really aspire to bring some changes in this world. The first one being on the ‘way we teach kids’.
I first started this blog with the main purpose of posting my poems online so that my friends could read them, but now I also add my views and articles.
The year 2012 was quite a turning point in my life, as a started evolving into a better person. I thrashed away my fear of public speaking, starting taking interest in writing poetry, wiped out vices and foibles, and grew wiser than ever before.
I feel inspired by Nobel Laureate Mr. Richard P. Feynman, former president of India Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, and most of all, my dad 🙂
My dad’s a doctor, my dad’s sister is a doctor, my sister is becoming a doctor, and I just don’t wanna be a doctor. I like reading psychology, probably because my dad’s been a psychiatrist. It’s fun to read.
Thank you for dropping by my blog. Do explore some of my articles and poetry. All the poems I have written are generally related to some emotions. Thanks once again for dropping by!
